The Authority of Christ Jesus

It is written: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord will accomplish this."  -Isaiah 9:6, 7

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Reconciled in Christ

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. -Colossians 1:15-20

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." -John 3:17

"He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." -1 John 3:8

One Solitary Life, attributed to James Allen Francis
CHRIST JESUS: He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant. He grew up in another village, where he worked in a carpenter shop until he was 30. Then, for three years, he was an itinerant preacher.
He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a home. He didn’t go to college. He never lived in a big city. He never traveled 200 miles from the place where he was born. He did none of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but himself.
He was only 33 when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While he was dying, his executioners gambled for his garments, the only property he had on earth. When he was dead, he was laid in a borrowed grave, through the pity of a friend.
Twenty centuries have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race. I am well within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned-put together- have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as that one, solitary life.

(Y'SHUA) YESHUA is the Hebrew name of the MESSIAH, the SON of GOD, the SAVIOR of the world.  Translated as Jesus in the English Bible, YESHUA is the Name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11) and means "Salvation Now!"  Titles of Christ

The Son [Jesus] Superior to Angels
IN THE past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. -Hebrews 1:1-4

Revolution. A complete overthrow of the established government in any country or state by those who were previously subject to it. Gitlow v. Kiely, D.C.N.Y., 44 F.2d 227, 232. The word in its broadest significance is generally used to designate a sweeping change as applied to political change, it denotes a change in a method or system of government, or of the power which controls the government. It is frequently accomplished by or accompanied by violent acts, but it need not be violent in its methods and it does not necessarily denote force or violence. U.S. v. Foster, D.C.N.Y., 9 F.R.D. 367,
394. -Blacks Law Dictionary, 6th Ed.

Jesus: "Am I leading a rebellion, that you come with swords and clubs?" -Luke 22:52. "But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated me without reason.'" -John 15:25 (Psalms 69:4) Jesus Holy Nation

The Christian’s primary allegiance is always to Jesus Christ. Christians proclaim Him Lord, recognize Him as their legitimate King, and live as citizens of His kingdom first and foremost. The demands of human government are always secondary to the demands of Christ and His Kingdom—as the lives of countless martyrs and the persecuted church past and present attest. -Chuck Colson, www.breakpoint.org

Roman culture was not neutral with respect to the announcement of God’s reign in Christ. The Gospel of the kingdom is not just about a gift. It is about a change of allegiance. The declaration “Jesus is Lord” was understandably viewed as subversive and a threat to everything the Romans held dear. That’s why Christians had to die. That’s why tyrants such as Stalin and Mao tried to stamp out the Church. -The Threat of Jesus, by Rev. Robert Lynn.  The Greek god Zeus whose origins as a sky god on the Russian steppes (vast treeless plain) to his powerful influence on Greek and Roman civilization was eclipsed (a loss in splendor, status, reputation) by the rise and spread of Christianity. -Zeus, by Tom Stone.

"I [Jesus/Yeshua] am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." -John 8:12

"God calls people freely to offer him their obedience.  Nothing is gained by imposing patterns of 'Christian' behavior on human beings whose hearts have not been turned to the Lord."  Abraham Kuyper (1837-1920); Christian History & Biography Issue 94

Jesus Holy Nation

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"  They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." -Matthew 16:13-20

The whole duty of man is to love one another. The Royal Law in Christianity is to "Love God and love thy neighbor as thyself." Jesus Christ is a Living and Eternal God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, who gives the Holy Spirit (Comforter) freely to ALL those who ask. He teaches each of us (mankind) about unfailing love, one for another, that we might be conformed to His image with a new nature. He always lives to intercede on  your behalf. Call upon His name as your personal Lord and Savior in ANY situation!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. -1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“Jesus Christ turns loss into gain, lack into abundance, negatives into positives, might into light, hate into love, bondage into freedom, failure into success, sickness into health, weakness into strength, evil into righteousness and more- so much more.  What a gospel.” -Evangelism By Fire, Reinhard Bonnke, www.CfaN.org

If it had not been for the Lord, who reached out to us we would have perished in our own selfishness.  If it had not been for the Lord, who healed our wounds we would have succumbed to pain and sorrow.  Praise be to God who reaches out to us, healing and restoring our lives.  All thanks be to God for the many ways in which our lives have been blessed. -written by Rev. Nancy Townley]

It is written: “When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” -Ezekiel 33:8-9
