Politicians are in deceitful "competition" with Christianity! It is written: [Jesus:] "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters." -Matthew 12:30 They will say of me, 'In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.' All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame. Avoid [all] such people- turn away from them." -2 Timothy 3:5 Amplified Bible Do you truly know who the Political Right or Liberal Left is? You think "yes", but... A populist is a politician, etc. who claims to represent the common people. Do politicians reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ? Absolutely not! Do politicians have something better to offer than the abundant life that Jesus Christ offers? Surely this would demean (to lower in dignity or standing) the One who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords (I Timothy 6:15). The answer is positively no! Populists are in fact the problem, whereas Jesus Christ is the cure. A politician ought to be thought of as: meg.a.lo.ma.ni.a - n. a highly exaggerated or delusional concept of one’s own importance.

Wake Up Call: For many readers the First World War may seem a senseless, disastrous conflict that had neither purpose nor justification and that remained outside the control of political and military leaders. In his book Cataclysm, David Stevenson offers a different view. He sees it as a “cataclysm of a special kind, a manmade catastrophe produced by political acts...” He also believes “the killing was begun and prolonged through deliberate political will.” The “victims” of the war, he adds “owed their fate to deliberate state policy, decided on by governments that rejected alternatives to violence …” Thus, the war was shaped by politicians who aimed at specific political goals and accepted the high casualties and cost associated with accomplishing those goals. –Book review by Colonel Robert A. Government de jure Government de facto There are several degrees of what is called "de facto government." Such a government, in its highest degree, assumes a character very closely resembling that of a lawful government. This is when the usurping government expels the regular authorities from their customary seats and functions, and established itself in their place, and so becomes the actual government of a country. The distinguishing characteristic of such a government is that adherents to it in war against the government de jure do not incur the penalties of treason; and under certain limitations, obligations assumed by it in behalf of the country or otherwise will, in general, be respected by the government de jure when restored. Such a government might be more aptly denominated a "government of paramount force," being maintained by active military power against the rightful authority of an established and lawful government; and obeyed in civil matters by private citizens.
